TREE-TO-BLOCK

FROM THE TREE TO THE CACAO BLOCK

AN EXTRAORDINARY PLANT OF THE HEART

A living cacao with a gentle and powerful presence

Natural cocoa

Cultivated and transformed directly by a collective of Mayan farming families in the department of Suchitepéquez, Guatemala, this native Criollo cacao follows a fully integrated “tree-to-block” process — from the cacao tree all the way to the final cacao block.

The cacao is grown on clay-rich soils at an altitude of 976 meters, within a rich and living ecosystem where cedar trees, bamboo, palo blanco, fruit trees and many local species coexist.

This living environment nourishes both the aromatic richness of the cacao and the natural balance of the cacao grove.

Here, the cacao is born, grows and is transformed within the same living territory, guided by the same hands from beginning to end.

After harvest, the beans ferment in banana leaves and slowly dry under the sun. They are then delicately fire-roasted over wood, just enough to soften the shell and allow for manual peeling, carefully carried out by women from the village.

Finally, the beans are finely ground in the village mill to give birth to a pure, living and vibrant cacao paste: a ceremonial-grade cacao, deeply rooted in the Earth and ready to nourish body, heart and soul.

Minimally processed in order to preserve the original richness of the Plant, this cacao carries within it the living memory of its territory, the strength of the Living World, and the care of the hands that accompanied it throughout the process.

A direct and human supply chain, born from a living relationship between One Love Cacao and Mayan cacao-producing families of Guatemala.
